Unique ideas on decorating a Christmas Tree?
Dec 20th, 2009 by admin
What style of ornaments to use. Maybe a theme? What colors are in this year? Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Black, white, and silver are very in this year. Lots of ornaments are made of clear glass with black/white things inside them. Definitely do white lights if you go that route.

Another thing that’s in is organic stuff– dried oranges, cinnamon sticks, and pine cones.

turquoise, silver, and white. White snowflakes, silver balls, and turquoise balls. Use wired ribbon rather than garland. And white lights.

To be honest I have always loved Christmas trees with the white twinkling lights with big silver balls and icesicles all over it.
What is fun is you can take any theme and run with it. You can do a certain color theme, all balls, all old fashioned ornaments, just popcorn and garlands of varies types, an animal theme, a favorite character theme, handmade ornaments- be of paper, glass, plastic, breaddough, etc. I say do anything that looks pretty to you. That is what decorating a tree is all about is what you like and not what is in style or what you think others would like.

The best Christmas tree I have done was one with white lights, and cookie cutters. Odd, I know–but ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!! I used metal cookie cutters and the lights were beautiful as they reflected off of them. Just tie a white or silver string to each on to hang from the tree by. Or, if you like more color on your tree, you can always use the colored plastic cookie cutters. You wont get the cool light effects but it is still fun to watch everyone check out your tree to see what cutters you have hanging!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck, Amanda
This year, our tree is in Blue and Maize. GO MICHIGAN WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!
