Unique Christmas dinner ideas?
Dec 29th, 2009 by admin
My family wants to do something different for Christmas dinner..any ideas for a unique menu? We’ve done Italian Christmas, Polish Christmas, and Around the world Christmas where we’ve taken different appetizers and main courses from different cultures. Anything would help! Thanks

Meatballs! You can have crockpots full of different kinds of meatballs – sweet and sour, bbq, italian (spaghetti sauce), swedish meatballs…then have different kinds of noodles, rice etc. to serve them with. Call it Deck the Halls with Meatballs!

how about german or japan. you have green tea and rice, or some german cookies.

How about an Old World Christmas? I don’t know what it would consist of but I’m thinking you could Google to see what people had as traditional Christmas dinner a hundred years ago or more, then do that. You could go all out and find vintage or vintage-inspired decorations and clothes. How fun! Yeah?
References :
try color themes (ex. red = punch, red potatoes, jello, red lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, meat, etc.)
or modern christmas, cutesy christmas (make dinner food look like treats),
tough question!

Hope this helps. 🙂
