Ideas for Christmas dinner?

I am having my in laws over for Christmas dinner. My mother in law wanted me to make a turkey, but I would rather not slave over an oven all day. I thought about a ham, but no one likes that idea. Any suggestions?

My family always has Prime Rib. You can do simple side items, like potatoes and a vegetable and a salad, and not all of the stuff that goes with a turkey.
