Christmas Decorating Ideas for a college dorm?

Me and my roommates want to decorate out room for Christmas but are unsure of what to do. What are some creative ideas? We are up for any suggestions. What are some fun festive ideas to make our dorm more Christmas friendly?

A small christmas tree, a bow on the door, and make a bunch of snowflakes. (it seems childish, but it gets the spirit going.)
A Christmas tree made out of empty beer cans, like my father-in-law made for me, with a string of lights inserted in between the cans. They are stacked starting with maybe 20 cans on the bottom row, then 18, then 16, etc. to form a tree, glued together and mounted on a wooden base. Unique and colorful.
